American Lift & Sign Service was founded in 1985 by Mike Gardner and Pat Schuster. They started this business together with a goal to always provide honest, reliable service at a fair price.

On July 1, 2022, American Lift and Sign was purchased by Jeff McKnight and Eric Crouch. We are excited for a new beginning and are looking forward to evolving and growing under new ownership. Both Jeff and Eric bring unique life and job experiences along with over 40 combined years in the industry.

Our employees are like family. Because of this, we have very low employee turnover - the average employee tenure is at 15+ years. We credit the low turnover rate to fair wages, excellent benefits, and a safe and comfortable work environment. We are very proud of our safety record, which is among the finest in the industry.

Our fabricators are skilled craftsmen. Each takes pride in the custom fabrication of high quality hand crafted signs and advertising displays. Our fabrication facility includes a full sheet metal shop, computer controlled router and vinyl production, as well as a quality paint facility.  

Certified welders are on staff in both production and installation. Our highly trained Installation crews are respected in the industry for both efficiency and quality of workmanship. Each installation crew includes a licensed Journeyman Sign Erector to assure that your signs will be installed safely and professionally.

Our crews have been actively involved in the fabrication, installation and maintenance of video spectaculars and many of the major sports facilities in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota. Installation & Service equipment includes aerial lifts from 55 to 85 feet as well as various pickups & service vans and trailers.

 American Lift & Sign Service employs 2 licensed Master Sign Erectors. And 2 licensed journeyman sign erectors. We presently have 3 Daktronics factory certified technicians on staff for your electronic message center and scoreboard needs. We offer support on all major brands of these products.
